I love using this app to determine the best times of day during the summer and winter to get outside and exercise! Since our summers here in North Carolina are brutally oppressive, even when it's not hot, I use information on the elevation of the Sun to make my decision about how early in the day to get out. Very cool app. Just checked it out to see where sun would rise and min would set, and it was REALLY close to actual in the camera view. There is an option in the app to calibrate my phone compass, and after I took about 20 seconds to do that, camera view was exactly correct. Going to hopefully use this to pick out a great house location with best views of sunrise and sunset.
I have watched the sun location for months trying to place a tree and sitting area in a spot on my property. This app takes the guess work out of sun locations at any time and date. I am also an avid gardener and this app is excellent for placing plants, especially in the camera view. A question asked my AI app pointed me here. Where have you been all of my life?
Useful the few times I needed it for camera view to help try and keep from working in too much direct sunlight in a partiallytreed area. Will keep it and use it in the future for checking garden sunlight timing based on position. Ads aren't too bad for the number of times I needed it.
Best app I've found so far to give the sun's location at any address for any time of day. I use it daily for work to find the best time to photograph a house. I love that it incorporates Google Map's satellite overlay.
